By giving to the ICM, you are contributing to a unique and critically important initiative at the forefront of medical and scientific research. To become involved with such an exceptional institute at its start could not be more exciting -or have more bearing on all of our lives.
What 's more, your gift to the ICM represents an entirely new and effective way of approaching philanthropy. Your gift achieves a "multiplier effect" in that it underwrites key researchers and studies across all of Johns Hopkins.
To support its facilities, people and research, you can choose to partner with the ICM in a number of ways.
Facilities
As the ICM 's new home, the Computational Sciences and
Engineering (CSE)Building
also serves to strengthen the Whiting School's commitment
to multidisciplinary research
and education. This remarkable building provides the opportunity
for undergraduates,
graduate students, faculty, and other researchers from
a variety of disciplines to work together under the same
roof. To learn more about the exciting potential of the
CSE Building, please visit its website at http://engineering.jhu.edu/~cse-building/.
Endowment
An endowment is a gift that is held in perpetuity and
provides dependable resources for the future. A critically
important form of giving, an endowment blends the donor
's vision with the needs of the Whiting School and the
ICM. Over time, it provides a dependable revenue stream
to reduce reliance on external funding sources and allow
us to invest more consistently in our people, programs,
and facilities.
In particular, endowed fellowships are an outstanding investment in the careers of future leaders in engineering and computational medicine. By establishing an endowed fellowship, you will have the satisfaction of preparing the way and launching the careers of men and women who will be leaders in tomorrow's world. The accomplishments of these professionals, as their careers unfold, is proof that your investment is well placed indeed.
Diagnosis Discovery Fund
This fund is designed to directly support research at
the ICM toward the discovery of cures for disease. Non-endowed
gifts to the Fund will be used by our research team to
explore areas of promise and potential for dramatically
improved disease diagnosis. Donors can invest in one of
the three research thrusts of the ICM:
We are seeking gifts of $10,000 and above for this fund, with Director 's Circle gifts at the $50,000 level. For more information contact the Whiting School Development office at 410 516-8723, wse-dar@jhu.edu.
